Thomas W. Giles has earned the prestigious Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from the Professional Photographers of America, Inc. He is also one of the few photographers nationwide to be recognized as a Certified Professional Photographer. He has earned his Fellow of Photography from the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association and from the Indianhead Professional Photographers Association. Member of Professional Photographers of America, Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association, Indianhead Professional Photographers Association and the American Society of Photographer.

Our studio was started by Ben Aanes in 1911. Ben Aanes owned his studio until the early 1940s. Since the time Ben sold his studio, there have been a number of owners through the years until Giles purchased the studio in 1981. The Aanes Studio name was changed to Giles-Aanes Photography Studio when the studio was purchased in 1981. The Aanes name was dropped from the studio name in 1987 when Tom was presented with the Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America. Giles Photography became the first portrait studio in the world to become totally electronic in-house by having both electronic capture and printing on the Kodak LED Digital Printer. The changes have proven to be very good for our clients. We offer almost immediate viewing and selection of your portraits after the session. Our clients no longer have to wait a week or more to see their photographs. By not having to depend on an outside lab, we are capable of offering completed portrait orders much closer to Christmas and yearbook deadlines. We have also created many products that are only available at Giles Photography. Our exclusive line of greeting cards, designed by Tom, are available only at our studio.
