Thanks for looking over our Senior Portrait information. I'm going to go over some of the things that you should know and your parents should know, so please share this with them.

If this is the end of your junior year in high school, it's Senior Portrait Time. You will likely receive a lot of mailings and information on Senior Portraits. There are many people out there calling themselves a professional photographer, but do they really know what they are doing? They may be good as an amateur, but a true Professional Photographer does more than take a snapshot of you. Having a good camera doesn't make you a good photographer, it makes you a camera owner. This is a good spot to remind you that "Buyer Beware." Look at the quality of the photographers work that you are considering for Senior Portraits and decide on your photographer knowing what their work is like. There are lots of cheap photographers out there and they are cheap for a reason. I hope that in looking though our website, you will find that we are the clear choice for quality photography.

Amidst all the extracurricular activities, college tours, and general “life direction” discussions come....senior portraits. Your senior portrait photographer should be chosen carefully because this image will be preserved in the high school yearbook for decades, where future generations will admire their parents' portraits.

Just because our senior portraits are high quality, doesn’t mean they have to be expensive. At Giles Photography, we want to help you pick the session and the portraits you want and can afford*, as well as the quality and timelessness that you and your family deserve. Take a moment and look at our Senior Specials that we offer.

We offer three sessions in the studio for our seniors to choose from: Extended Session, Deluxe Session and Yearbook Session. We also offer add-on sessions that may be added to either our Extended or Deluxe sessions, including: Outdoor, Special Effects and Friendship sessions.

Both the Deluxe and Extended sessions require a clothing conference; we ask that the consultation is scheduled at least one week prior to your camera room appointment. After completing the session a digital album, full of all your images, will be ready for you to pick up, usually within one or two days. A yearbook portrait is provided for your school after your order has been placed.

The Yearbook Session is for those students who are interested in only a standard yearbook portrait. This session is a one outfit, head and shoulders pose only. A clothing conference is not necessary. You will be able to view the images immediately following the session: images are not available to leave the studio, however, you may order portraits and wallets to swap with classmates from this session. A yearbook portrait, with normal retouching, is included in the session fee.

All Sessions
Sessions and orders may be placed at special reduced prices through the end of May of the student’s junior year. Though this may seem early, think about it: how different is your student really going to look in June? Coming in early ensures that your student’s portraits will avoid any yearbook rush-charges and the portraits will be ready in plenty of time before school begins. Plus, when your student has his or her portraits taken at Giles Photography, we include a free family portrait session valid through April of his or her senior year and a free cap and gown session valid through May of his or her senior year.

We are constantly adding new backgrounds and props. We have a large selection and variety of frames that we can show you for your portraits. You'll receive a 10% discount on the frame if you order the frame at the same time you order your senior portraits. Our framing comes with a lifetime portrait guarantee.

Please feel free to call us, we will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Thomas W. Giles,M.Photog.Cr.,CPP,F-WPPA,F-IPPA
